10 Things I Discovered During The Week Sara Was At Girls Camp

1. If your baby has diarrhea you will have to change a diaper an average of 6 times an hour. And it doesn't matter how little the child eats! They have a magic power to poo out at least 3 times what they take in!

2. When you are caring for three young children there are only 17 hours in a day. For some unknown reason there is less time in a day. Because of this things like brushing your own teeth, daily showers, personal meals, and late night TV shows get dropped like a hot potato.

3. 5 year olds are not old enough to change the poopy diaper of a 1-year old. Enough said.

4. There has to be a training class that teaches how to do little girls hair. I have no clue how mom is able to brush out rats without tons of tears and yelling and screaming. Dad is not able to get through a whole head of hair without having friendship status revoked (Daddy, if you make my head hurt anymore you can't be my friend anymore!).

5. If you don't rinse the shampoo from a little girls hair it will be a lot more difficult to brush out the rats, but then you don't have to put gel or hairspray in. That was the only day the ponytail didn't look like Deb's from Napoleon Dynomite and the only day the ponytail stayed in all day!

6. Mom does EVERYTHING different than dad. I didn't know there was more than one way to make PBJ.

7. You have to rinse out bedding that has been thrown up on before you put it in the washer. A washing machine will magically make things like eggs, yogurt and peas disappear, but hot dogs and grapes will congregate in jeans pockets and you will inevitably discover them during the middle of a very serious meeting.

8. If only one person is sleeping in a king sized bed that person can slip out from under the covers leaving the bed completely made. When two people are sleeping in a King-Sized bed the sheets, bedspread, and blankets end up in knots, greater than any scout can tie, sometime between midnight and 5am.

9. When you have three little kids cleaning house has no beginning and no end. You just go in circles and hope you can run faster than the three tornados.

10. I love my wife!!! She is amazing to be able to handle everything here and still have time to pay attention to me after putting in a full day here at home. There is no doubt in my mind that she puts in more time, effort, and energy at sustaining our family than I do. Sara is a great help-meet.
